Police canvas Lakewood neighborhood after elementary school students report possible abduction

LAKEWOOD, Colo. — Police in Lakewood are investigating a possible child abduction in the area of South Kendall Street and West Florida Avenue.

Police say students at Lasley Elementary reported seeing an unknown female possibly taken from a sidewalk near the school in an unknown vehicle around noon Tuesday. 

However, Lakewood police has confirmed that all students were accounted for at Lasley Elementary and the surrounding Jeffco schools.

The girl was described as young, wearing a pink polka dot shirt and polka dot skirt or pants and white sparkly shoes.

Police conducted a door to door canvas in the area and notified parents of Lasley Elementary students of the situation.
