COMMERCE CITY, Colo. — A pedestrian on Interstate 76 was killed in a crash involving at least one vehicle Tuesday night.
The victim, described as an adult woman, was struck by a car on the westbound lanes near East 88th Avenue in Commerce City, according to the Colorado State Patrol.
It’s not clear why the woman was on the highway.
Troopers say the vehicle involved in the crash stayed on the scene. The call came in around 6:50 p.m.
Westbound I-76 was closed in the area during the investigation.
The victim’s identity will be released by the Adams County Coroner.
