DENVER – Good morning! Here’s what you need to know today, Friday, Oct. 20.

1. Loveland Ski Area opening day
Lift 1 will run from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Friday and will offer skiers and riders access to one top-to-bottom run covered from tree-to-tree with an 18-inch base. The trails Catwalk, Mambo and Home Run make up this Opening Day run which is over a mile in length and nearly 1,000 vertical feet.

2. Polis hosts ‘Coffee with your Congressman’
Democratic Rep. Jared Polis hosts a 'Coffee with your Congressman' event to provide constituents with an opportunity to meet and speak with Rep. Polis about their concerns and get updates about his work in Washington. The event will take place at United Center Inc, 1440 Colorado Boulevard, Idaho Springs at 9:30 a.m.

3. Gamers, you should probably head to the National Western Complex
If you're a gamer, or like to watch gamers play; or even if you're into drones or cosplay, you should probably head out to the National Western Complex for the weekend. DreamHack, the largest digital gaming festival in the world, is in Denver for the weekend. This is a huge deal.  

4. DIA is ready for winter
Denver International Airport will host an event Friday to demonstrate their winter preparedness.

5. Ending the week on a nice note
Warm and dry conditions will continue across Colorado Friday, with highs in the 70s to near 80 degrees across the metro area and northeastern Colorado.
