AURORA, Colo. – A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash outside of the Gaylord Rockies Resort and Convention Center in Aurora late Saturday night, police said.

The suspected driver, a juvenile whose name hasn't been released, fled the scene, and his car was found unoccupied several miles away. He was later taken into custody, police said.

Officers had responded about 11:45 p.m. to the resort, at the 6700 block of North Gaylord Rockies Boulevard, where several people were injured. One person died at the scene and several others were taken to a hospital, police said.

Police were still investigating the crash Sunday morning. The name of the victim who died hasn't been released. Investigators will work with the 17th Judicial District to determine any charges against the juvenile suspect, police said.
