Both firefighters were stable and “resting comfortably” the morning after the crash, the Franktown Fire Protection District said in a tweet Wednesday morning.
“As they heal, we want to respect their privacy. Currently, they have no needs but humbly thanks the community for its outpouring of love,” the fire department said.

It’s still unclear exactly what led to the crash. The truck ended up crashing through a fence and coming to rest in a field. Franktown Fire said the home that the crew was responding to was a complete loss but the family was able to get out safely.
