Among the labels for the three people killed at a Colorado Springs Planned Parenthood are parent, hero and friend.
Their obituaries shed a little more light on the victims:
Jennifer Markovsky, a mother to a young son and daughter, accompanied a friend to the clinic last Friday. Family members already spoke out about Jennifer, calling her sweet and lovable. In her obituary, loved ones wrote the Hawaii native will be remembered for her love for her children and a creative spirit. Markovsky loved baking, cooking and being outside.
Ke'Arre M. Stewart also had two children. He served in the Army and did a tour in Iraq. His obituary says his mother is still alive. He was married in 2005 in Texas. Stewart loved to eat, watch movies - his favorite being "Assassin's Creed" - sports and his family.
Garrett Swasey was an officer, killed in the line of duty, and a pastor. He was born in Massachusetts but lived in Colorado Springs for years. Swasey was an ice skater and originally moved to Colorado Springs to train at the Broadmoor Skating Club, while living at the Olympic Training Center. He was named a junior ice dance champion in 1992. He'd been married since 1999. He and his wife Rachel shared two children.
