The FBI released video of what it calls one of the most violent local robberies it’s seen in some time.

Thieves wearing masks from the “Scream” movies pointed guns in the faces of U.S. Bank tellers in Lakewood on Wednesday, police say. At the same time, thieves hit a nearby 7-Eleven. Detectives suspect the convenience store robbery was a diversion, meant to attract officers away from the bank. The 7-Eleven thief wore a skeleton mask and fired two bullets at the wall.

Video shows the bank robbers forced the tellers into the vault to get cash.

The FBI’s Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force released new video to help identity the suspects, who escaped in a black SUV. The vehicle appears to be a 1999 to 2003 Lexus RX 300. One of the rear windows may be broken.

U.S. Bank is offering $10,000 for tips leading to an arrest and conviction, in addition to the $2,000 from Crime Stoppers.

If anyone has any information on the bank robbery above or any bank robbery, please call the FBI’s RMSSTF at 303-629-7171; or, you can remain anonymous and call Crime Stoppers at 720-913-STOP (7867).
