New security measures in place at Denver public schools

DENVER - New security measures are now in place at schools in Denver, thanks to a bond approved by voters in 2012.

The upgrades include employee identification badges, card readers and panic buttons in all schools. The Denver Public School District also invested in the latest lockdown notification technology, 7NEWS reporter Tyler Lopez said.

McGlone Elementary School will demonstrate the new security measures and hold a drill on new lockdown procedures Thursday morning.
