LONGMONT, Colo. – A motorcyclist was killed in a crash in Longmont Monday evening, and police say drugs and or alcohol and excessive speed may have played a factor in the crash that occurred around 5:45 p.m. on Highway 119.

Longmont Police say two motorcycles were traveling east on the highway near Zlaten Drive at a high rate of speed when one of the motorcycles left the roadway, hit a guardrail and lost control.

According to police, the motorcycle and rider, a 31-year-old male from Firestone, continued through the median and crossed over into the westbound lanes of traffic.
