Friday’s Mega Millions jackpot was the largest in the history of the 44-state lottery, worth $1 billion. It also marked the second-largest jackpot in US history. The winning numbers were drawn at 9 p.m.

It should be known later Friday or early Saturday morning if there was a winner for Friday’s jackpot. If no one matched all five numbers and the Mega Ball, then the jackpot will grow even larger on Tuesday.
The largest Mega Millions jackpot was claimed in 2012 and was worth $656 million.
