Man killed, woman injured in stolen Ferrari crash in Arvada

ARVADA, Colo. — A 39-year-old man was killed and his female passenger injured after a single-vehicle crash involving a stolen Ferrari in Arvada early Wednesday morning.

The man was driving the 2007 Ferrari, reported stolen from a local dealership, around 3 a.m. north in the 6900 block of Ward Road at a high rate of speed when he lost control, according to a release from the Arvada Police Department.

The vehicle left the east side of the road, running into a fence and several trees, the release read. The man, identified by authorities as 39-year-old Steven Andrews, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Andrews’ female passenger, whose age and name have not been released, was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police have not said if drugs or alcohol contributed to the crash.
