Man found with gunshot wound dies in Aurora parking lot, death ‘suspicious’

UPDATE | Thursday, 9:50 a.m. — The man who was found dead with a gunshot wound early Tuesday morning has been identified as 33-year-old Carlis Brandon Lesean Brabson. He died of a gunshot wound to the head, according to the Arapaho County Coroner's Office. His death is classified as a homicide.

AURORA, Colo. — Police in Aurora are investigating what they call a suspicious death after a man was found suffering from a gunshot wound in an Aurora condominium complex parking lot early Tuesday morning.

Around 12:12 a.m., Aurora police responded to the Sable Cove Condominiums, located at 912 South Dearborn Way, on a report of a man with a gunshot wound.

When officers arrived, they located the 33-year-old man in the parking lot suffering from a gunshot wound, who was pronounced deceased a short time later. His identity will be released by the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office at a later time.

Homicide detectives are investigating the death as suspicious, police said.
