DENVER – Police are investigating a homicide after a man died following a shooting across from City Park Friday afternoon.
The shooting was first reported near the area of E. 21st and York Streets at 4:22 p.m.
Police initially said the victim, whom they later identified as a man, was taken to a hospital for treatment. By 7:20 p.m., the man was declared deceased by the department.
The circumstances that led to the shooting were not immediately known, nor was any information on a suspect available.
