Man dies after Aurora shooting Thursday evening

AURORA, Colo. — A man in Aurora died following a shooting in the Morris Heights Neighborhood Thursday evening.

The Aurora Police Department said officers responded to a report of a shooting at 8:19 p.m. in the area around E. 30th Avenue and N. Xanadu Street.

When officers arrived, they found a man who had been shot in the road.

He was transported to a hospital, where he died, police said.

This is still an active case, and police said they do not have any additional information to share. Suspect information was not available.

Police said they believe this is an isolated incident and the public isn't in danger.
