GOLDEN, Colo. – The man arrested late last month who is suspected of sexually assaulting several women – primarily transients – in the Lakewood area was charged Monday with two felony counts of sexual assault and two other misdemeanor counts.

Darrell Wall, 49, faces two misdemeanor counts of invasion of privacy – sexual gratification in addition to the two sexual assault counts, according to the First Judicial District Attorney’s Office.

Police arrested Wall on Nov. 29 on a warrant for the two counts for which he was charged on Monday. He is being held at the Jefferson County jail on a $250,000 bond.

A 28-year-old woman came forward to Lakewood police on Oct. 31 reporting she had been sexually assaulted by Wall in his black van and trailer while it was parked at a Walmart in Lakewood.

Wall is also suspected of raping multiple other women inside his van or trailer, and allegedly recorded some of the assaults on his phone. He is known to frequent the areas of 8th and Quail and Colfax and Wadsworth.

The warrant for Wall’s arrest showed police found at least nine possible victims of his and at least two other possible victims.

During many of the encounters, according to the warrant, the victims were intoxicated or asleep. Wall also filmed many of the alleged encounters on his cell phone, which was seized and reviewed by police. The two women whom police are unsure if they are victims were seen on videos with Wall. Several of the videos showed Wall degrading the women he was allegedly assaulting, according to the warrant. He also allegedly choked or strangled some of the women.

The detective who compiled the warrant for Wall's arrest wrote that Wall is targeting a specific population for his alleged assaults and that it was "of great concern" that Wall is potentially a "serial rapist."

Police ask anyone with information about Wall or other possible assaults to discuss Detective Paisley at 303-987-7025.

The DA’s Office said the investigation into Wall remains ongoing. He is next due in court on Jan. 2 for a preliminary hearing.
