JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. — An 89-year-old man with a cognitive impairment has been missing since Thursday evening in Wheat Ridge.

According to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, Charles Doryland was last seen at 10:30 p.m. Thursday around a gas station near 38th Avenue and Kipling Street in Wheat Ridge, though he's a resident along the 10000 block of W. Bellwood Place. The 89-year-old was driving a 2019 blue Honda Civic with Colorado license plate DBH-500, according to the sheriff's office.

The sheriff’s office said Doryland has a cognitive impairment. They said he left a voicemail for a relative sounding "confused and disoriented."

The sheriff's office said he used a credit card at 4:20 a.m. Friday at a Conoco in Lakewood.

He is described as standing about 6 feet, 5 inches tall, and weighing 195 pounds. He has blue eyes, and short, gray hair. A description of his clothing was listed as “unknown.”
