LOVELAND, Colo. — The Loveland Police Department SWAT team fatally shot a homicide suspect Monday evening.
Around 8:30 p.m., police were investigating a possible homicide along the 3300 block of Cuchara Court. The SWAT team entered a residence along the block and encountered a woman who was a suspect in the investigation. They exchanged gunfire and the woman was struck, police said. She died at the scene.
One officer had minor injuries, but was evaluated and cleared by paramedics.
The 8th Judicial District Critical Incident Response Team will investigate this officer-involved shooting.
Police did not release any other information.
