Wednesday is National Coffee with a Cop Day -- a way to build better relationships between citizens and officers.
While there are events across the United States, in Colorado, LaMar's Donuts is hosting Coffee with a Cop events in six cities. People who visit with an officer at a participating LaMar's location will get a free coffee and a donut.
The participating LaMar's locations are in Denver, Aurora, Fort Collins, Westminster, Louisville and Highlands Ranch.
The participating police agencies are Denver Police, Aurora Police, Fort Collins Police, Westminster Police, Louisville Police and the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.
