Lakewood police clear 'person of interest' in Blue Sky Motel homicide

LAKEWOOD, Colo. — Police in Lakewood said Thursday afternoon they had cleared a person of interest they wanted to speak to involving a homicide on Oct. 18.

The person was sought for a police interview the death of Brittany Guern, 32, at the Blue Sky Motel, which is located at 6205 W. Colfax Ave. The Lakewood detective working the case said Thursday they had spoken with the person.

Asha Adolphus Thompson, 32, was arrested in connection to the crime on Tuesday. He was taken into custody without incident, according to police, and was being held at the Jefferson County Jail for suspicion of first-degree murder.
