Lakewood police looking for suspect info., surveillance video after man shot and killed Tuesday

LAKEWOOD, Colo. – A man was shot and killed early Tuesday morning in the 200 block of S. Teller Street in Lakewood, but police say they have no information about a suspect.

The shooting happened just before 12:30 a.m., according to dispatch calls. Rene Perez, 56, was found in a parking lot suffering from a gunshot wound, police said.

Perez was taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Lakewood police said they did not have any information about a possible suspect as of 10:15 a.m. They are asking for anyone with information about the shooting or who might have surveillance video from the area to call the Lakewood police tip line 303763-6800.
