Lakewood police investigating shooting at Walmart that left 2 injured

LAKEWOOD, Colo. — The Lakewood Police Department is investigating a shooting at a Lakewood Walmart, the department announced Sunday evening.

Police tweeted at 8:37 p.m. that they are working around the Walmart at 7455 W. Colfax Avenue, at the intersection of W. Colfax Avenue and Wadsworth Boulevard.

Police said two males were shot and transported to a hospital. It's not known if they are adults or juveniles.

The suspect shooter left the scene, police said. No arrests had been made as of Monday morning.

There is a large police presence in the area. Police have asked the public to avoid the area.

Police said they believe this is an isolated incident.

The initial 911 calls came in at 8:22 p.m.

According to footage from AIRTRACKER7, the shooting may have taken place in the parking lot.
