LAKEWOOD, Colo. -- Caring strangers helped fill Codi Rayl's dresser and provide her newborn daughter, Grace, with a car seat after her car was stolen from her driveway as she got ready to head to the hospital.

A couple of weeks ago, Rayl and her family were loading up and on their way to the hospital to have the baby when someone jumped into their silver-blue Chrysler and drove off with their daughter's clothes and brand new car seat.

Rayl reached out to Denver7 in hopes of getting her car back.

“We were hoping someone would recognize the car,” said Rayl.

She never knew that in return she would get to see generosity in its purist forms.

On Thursday morning, she was graced by yet another act of kindness from a complete stranger.

“He is definitely my Christmas angel,” said Codi Rayl.

The stranger, who wished to remain anonymous, offered his 2002 silver Pontiac for Rayl to have until she can afford her own car. The gesture brought Rayl to tears. She says she is thankful for the community’s outpouring of support.

“I’m just blown away. I don't know what to say; it feels like a dream,”said Rayl.

But it's not a dream. It’s the reality of what the power of giving can really do.
