KOA radio host arrested for domestic violence over phone

DENVER – A KOA radio morning show host was arrested Sunday for harassing an ex-girlfriend via the phone, according to a probable cause statement released by Denver Police.

Steffan Tubbs is accused of sending the victim several videos, text messages and voice messages that included “vulgar language,” which police say was intended to “annoy the victim.”

Police say that Tubbs and the victim were previously involved in an intimate relationship that lasted two years.

The radio host was arrested after the victim filed a complaint. He was charged with domestic violence, disturbance via phone.

Tubbs appeared in court Monday afternoon and was released from custody after posting a $250 bond.

Tubbs is the host of KOA's Colorado Morning News. The radio station has yet to provide a statement regarding the host’s arrest.
