JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. – Deputies arrested a 30-year-old Jefferson County man on Friday who is accused of sexually assaulting a 14 year old.
Jeffrey Craig Wise, 30, is being investigated for charges of internet luring of a child, enticement of a child, sexual assault on a child and promotion of obscenity to a minor, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office said Monday.
According to the sheriff’s office, someone reported that Wise had been interacting with a 14-year-old on social media. He is accused of picking the teenager up near a high school in southern Jefferson County and driving the teen to another location to commit the alleged sexual assault.
The sheriff’s office’s child sex offender internet investigations unit identified and located wise and arrested him in Englewood on Friday, the sheriff’s office said.
JCSO says the investigation into Wise and whether there are more victims is ongoing.
