DENVER – For many people, the holidays mean getting together with family and entertaining guests at your home.

But who has the time or money to decorate for fancy occasions?

You’re in good company, Colorado, because a local service wants you to have the finer things by letting you sample multiple pieces of original artwork.

Get the Gallery founder Joe Clark grew up around quality art because his parents belonged to the local museum.

“Me and my brother, we always had this rotation of beautiful, original artwork from the local museum in the house,” Clark said. “And it was always changing.”

He's now bringing that same experience to the masses with a monthly subscription, where members get to choose art pieces from Get the Gallery (www.getthegallery.com) to have for their home or business.

“All of our plans do include multiple pieces,” Clark said.

Customers can choose from a library of portraits, landscapes, and abstracts to keep as long as they want.

“They can rotate artwork with the seasons, or with their mood, or for a holiday event or for a party,” said Clark.

Denver is the only city where Get the Gallery is available right now. But Clark and his team have other cities marked for expansion next year.

“It's a shift in consumer behavior where they want experiences,” he said. “They want to own less things.”

The service introduces people to a world they might not have otherwise explored.

“The art world, kind of like the wine world, can be very intimidating,” Clark says.

Artists, meanwhile, are loving the new exposure for their work.

“We also have this element of wanting to make sure we connect local talent to local customers,” Clark said.

Get the Gallery wants to tap into art appreciation at an affordable price, so your home always looks its best.

“What we shoot for as a team is push a button on your phone, and artwork appears over my couch,” Clark says. “Or, over my dining room table. That's what we're striving for is that kind of simplicity.”

Also available soon for an additional fee is their “white glove” service, where someone helps you pick out the artwork for your home. A crew then delivers it and hangs it on your wall.
