DENVER – Denver’s housing market is incredibly competitive -- not just for home buyers and sellers, but for renters and rental managers, as well.
With a new apartment building popping up seemingly every week, building managers are getting creative to entice renters and one way they’re doing that is with move-in gifts.
It’s not unusual to see promotions offering a free month of rent or a waived application fee, but some apartment complexes are offering more than that – think gift cards and wearable tech.
Infinity LoHi in Denver’s Highlands neighborhood, which just opened last week, is one such apartment complex. Renters who sign a lease at Infinity LoHi have a choice of four different move-in gifts.
If they’re a dog owner, they can get a free subscription to the BarkBox delivery service. Those who are looking to stay active can get a free Denver B-Cycle membership or a Fitbit fitness tracker.
And if neither of those strikes their fancy, they can get a gift certificate that’s good at neighborhood shops and restaurants.
Executive Vice President of Marketing Kristen Fuechslin says it’s all about standing out from the crowd.
“It’s not a gift basket that’s on your doorstep when you move in, it’s something that’s really personal to you that brings you a little bit more value that you’ll use,” Fuechslin said. “I think they realize that this is going to be a different living experience.”
Infinity LoHi has studios, 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom apartments starting at $1,525 per month.
One of Infinity LoHi’s three apartment buildings is now open. The other two will open over the next few months.
