Highway 285 reopens near Fairplay after grass fire

PARK COUNTY, Colo. - Highway 285 has reopened.

The highway was closed east of Fairplay because of grass fire at 3 p.m. Monday. It reopened just before 5 p.m.

The Colorado Department of Transportation said a prescribed burn in the area got out of control.

AIRTRACKER7 video from the scene showed the fire burned close to a home, but did not burn the home.

Fairplay is about 85 miles from Denver.
