HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. — A Highlands Ranch man was arrested after authorities found a missing 14-year-old Nebraska girl, who was the subject of an Amber Alert, in Colorado, according to a Nebraska police statement.

Nathan Kempter, 32, is facing charges of child enticement after police say the Lincoln, Nebraska teen was safely located in Colorado early Saturday morning and reunited with her family.

The teen was reported missing around 5 p.m. Friday, and an Amber Alert issued about two hours later.

Police say the initial investigation found the girl had been corresponding with out-of-state individuals and may have been enticed into leaving her home.

Investigators talked to family members and accessed the girl’s cellular data, which pointed the investigation to Colorado and Kempter, police said.

Lincoln police called Douglas County authorities that same evening and contact was made with the missing girl and Kempter was arrested just after midnight Saturday.
