DENVER – Dry, warm and gusty conditions have prompted weather warnings for much of Colorado on Monday.
For the southeastern part of the state, including Colorado Springs, Pueblo, Limon and Eads, the National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag warning for high fire danger. The warning is in effect until 8 p.m. Monday.
Conditions in the area will be dry and windy, with sustained winds around 15 to 25 miles per hour and gusts up to 40 mph.
The northeastern portion of the state is under a high wind watch until midnight with sustained winds between 40 and 50 mph and gusts up to 65 mph.

A storm system will bring rain, snow and colder temperatures to the state on Tuesday, with temperatures staying in the upper 40s for the Denver area.
