DENVER – Fire danger will be high across the plains Friday.
The National Weather Service has issued a fire weather warning that will be in effect from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for most of the eastern portion of the state.
Strong winds combined with a lack of moisture mean conditions are ripe for fast-moving brush fires. The eastern plains could see winds up to 50 or 60 miles per hour Friday.
