DENVER -- The 2-year-old Rockies fan captured in a viral video screaming with joy at the mention of Charlie Blackmon was left speechless when the center fielder surprised him Friday.

Little Tommy Carlson and his family were waiting in a room before the Pirates-Rockies game at Coors Field when Blackmon knocked on the door.
“Oh, hey Tommy! What’s up?” Blackmon said as he entered the room. The shy tyke appeared to be in disbelief as he approached the bearded player for a hug.
Friday’s response was somewhat more subdued than last week’s video when the adorable Parker toddler could be seen screaming “he’s here!” when Blackmon was announced for the All-Star game.

Tommy’s dad, Tom Carlson, said the little guy loves baseball and knows all of the Rockies players. But dad thinks the “character that is Charlie” is what captivates Tommy the most.
