DENVER – Every holiday season a new gadget or toy compels many to brave the winter weather for a chance to get their hands on the must-have gift. This year is no different.

Several people lined up in front of the Best Buy on Colorado Boulevard Tuesday morning to be the first to buy this year’s hottest toy: The Mini NES Classic Edition.

The electronic retailer said they will have a limited stock of the gaming system available for customers on Tuesday. Doors open at 8 a.m.

This hard-to-find 8-bit wonder from the 80s has been on the top of many of wish lists, but retailers are having trouble keeping the console in stock.

The video game system, an old-school Nintendo with 30 preloaded games, has been sold out since it went on sale last month.
