Hash oil blamed for Larimer explosion

LARIMER COUNTY, Colo. - Hash oil production is blamed for an explosion Monday afternoon in unincorporated Larimer County.

According to the sheriff's office, the Poudre Fire Authority responded to the explosion call in the 600 block of Eric Street just after 2 p.m.

The explosion caused significant damage to the kitchen and rear patio door of the home. The sheriff's office said no one was inside the residence at the time of the explosion and no surrounding structures were damaged.

"No further information will be released at this time as this is an ongoing investigation," the sheriff's office said.
