Greeley teacher arrested on sexual assault charges involving student

GREELEY, Colo. – A Greeley teacher has been arrested on charges of sexual assault of a child involving a student at his school, police said.

Christopher Adams–Wenger, 32, is accused of having a relationship with a 16-year-old girl at Union Colony Prep School in Greeley, according to a police news release. School officials reported the allegations to police on Wednesday and Adams-Wenger, a teacher at the school, was arrested on Friday after an investigation.

Adams-Wenger was being held at the Weld County Jail with his bail set at $100,000. He faces charges of sexual assault on a child by someone in a position of trust and sexual assault on a child/pattern of abuse, both third-degree felonies.
