GREELEY, Colo. – Greeley Police arrested two suspects for the murder of a 27-year-old mother of two.

Just five days after Blaire McQueen was found dead inside her apartment, officers arrested Marquise Daniels, 25, and McKenzie Prader, 25.

Bobby, McQueen’s older brother asked Denver7 to not disclose his last name. He said his little sister lived for her two children, 7-year-old Embrie and 5-year-old Jackson.

“She loved them, and they were everything to her,” Bobby said.

He described his only sister as loving, free-spirited, funny and smart.

“She always knew how to make everybody smile, very generous, very giving,” Bobby said.

Three days before McQueen was murdered, she posted a picture on Facebook with her son Jackson and wrote, “today, my love, you are 5!…I’m so honored to be your mommy.”

Bobby said it’s hard to explain to his niece and nephew what happened to their mother.

“They ask where she is, when is she coming home.” Bobby said.

McQueen was the only immediate family member Bobby had left. He lost his mother at a young age and his father a year ago.

“Now Blaire, right before the holidays,” Bobby said.

McQueen lived at Briarwood Apartments off 18th Avenue Court in Greeley. On Dec. 18, Greeley Police officers responded to a call for suspicious activity and found McQueen dead inside her apartment.

“My heart sank. I didn’t know what to say,” Bobby said. “I was in shock and in disbelief.”

Bobby remembered McQueen as a straight “A” student in high school. He said she graduated early and was full of potential. He admitted, she lost her way.

“I don’t understand what she did or why that happened, but I’m sure over something so small or large nobody deserves to die,” Bobby said.

Police are not disclosing how McQueen was killed.

Daniels and Prader are facing several charges including murder, burglary and robbery.

The family set up a GoFundMe to help cover expenses for McQueen’s two children. They are currently in their dad’s custody.
