GRAND COUNTY, Colo. — Search and rescue crews are looking for a missing tuber on the Colorado River in Grand County.

A man in his 30s was last seen Sunday near Eye of the Needles in the water with a personal inner tube floating nearby. It was reported that the man was not wearing a life jacket.

Around 2 p.m., people in the area contacted the Grand County Communication Center about a possible boater in distress near Radium on the river.

Several agencies, including the Grand County Sheriff’s Office, Grand County Search and Rescue, Bureau of Land Management, Colorado Parks and Wildlife, Eagle River Fire Protection District and Vail Mountain Rescue, responded to the area and began searching for the missing man.

However, after several hours of searching on Sunday and Monday, the man remains missing, the sheriff’s office said Tuesday.
