COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Frontier Airlines is expanding its offering of non-stop service in Colorado Springs.
The Denver-based airline began operating direct flights Monday from the Colorado Springs Airport to five additional markets.
Daily non-stop service to San Diego and Washington began Monday. By Wednesday, Frontier will have added Los Angeles, Chicago and San Francisco to its growing list of destinations.
In addition to this week’s additional flights, Frontier plans to launch to direct service from Colorado Springs to both Fort Myers and Tampa later this fall.
The low-cost airline has been aggressively expanding its number of direct flights in the last couple of years, even as it struggled to stay operational amid several high-profile storms this past winter.
