10:48 p.m. Aurora police said their officers were involved in a shooting that wounded one suspect at 64th Avenue and Clay Street in Adams County on Saturday night. No officers were injured in the incident that Aurora police first tweeted about at 9:38 p.m. Aurora Police spokesman Officer Kenneth Forrest said the Adams County Critical Incident Team would be conducting the officer-involved shooting investigation, because the Aurora Police Department cannot investigate an incident involving its own officers. The Adams County Sheriff's Office would provide public information about the shooting, Forrest added.
