8:12 a.m. — At 7:30 a.m., two kayakers on Soda Lake in Bear Creek Lake Regional Park called 911 to report that they had seen a man floating in the lake. Park rangers, Lakewood police and West Metro Fire arrived at the scene. They found a man floating by the shore of the lake. They are investigating the scene. Based on their initial observations, they say there is nothing obviously suspicious about the man's death.
