7:54 a.m. — Denver police arrested a carjacking suspect at 1st and Sheridan Monday. The man is suspected of stealing an empty RTD bus at Federal and Howard, crashing it, and then stealing a second vehicle near 6th and Lowell before crashing again. Traffic delays are possible in both of these areas.

7:21 p.m. — Eastbound I-70 is closed at Denver West due to a five-car crash. Unclear if there are any injuries. You are asked to use W. 6th Ave. as a detour, Lakewood Police says.

3:42 a.m. — Platte Canyon Fire crews are battling a wildlife in the Lost Creek Wilderness west of Bailey. No structures are threatened; the fire is burning on forest service land. Read more on this story here: http://bit.ly/2L5VCx2.

2:30 a.m. — Aurora police said they were investigating a crash at I-225 and Alameda when a driver, who is suspected of being drunk, crashed into one of the patrol cars. Nobody was injured.

2:20 a.m. — Denver police said a man was shot in the area of E. 28th Avenue and N. High Street. He was transported to a hospital in critical condition. Around 2:15 a.m., police said the man had died and the incident was not being investigated as a homicide. Anybody with information should call Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867. No suspect information was available. (Aug. 28 update: The man has . been identified as 21-year-old Mark Duckworth). Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the Denver Police Department at 720-913-2000 or Crime Stoppers at 720-913-STOP.

1:45 a.m. — The Denver Fire Department is at the scene of a small fire on a railroad bridge over the South Platte River.

11 p.m. (Sunday) — Lakewood police said they were investigating a shooting at the Walmart located at 440 Wadsworth Boulevard. One person was taken to a hospital. The shooting occurred in the parking lot. Police did not release any suspect information.
