8:16 a.m. — The Colorado Springs Police Department said the schools are off lockdown.
6:29 a.m. — Police in Colorado Springs said Sand Creek High School is on lockdown because there are suspects in the area who may be armed. There is a large police presence around the school. Police said this is not related to the school closings in the Denver metro area. Students and faculty are asked to not come to the school until further notice. Denver7 is working to learn more.
