1. First Friday Art Walks

What: Come and enjoy the local art scene at Denver’s five art districts: Arts District Santa Fe, Golden Triangle Museum District, the Tennyson Street Cultural District and the RiNo Arts District.

Where: Denver Arts Districts (several locations)

When: Monthly on the first Friday of every month, from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

2. Boulder, Adams, Archuleta, Larimer and San Luis Valley County Fairs

What: Five county fairs will take place this weekend in Boulder, Adams, Archuleta, Larimer and San Luis Valley Counties. Enjoy eating contests, truck-and-tractor pulls, cow pie bingo and rodeo.

When: Friday, Aug. 4 through Sunday, Aug. 6, 2017.

3. Denver Art Museum Free Day

What: Enjoy free admission to the Denver Art Museum.  Note that special exhibitions will require a ticketed admission.

4. Taste of Ethiopia Festival

What: We are less than a month away from a Taste of Colorado, but if you’d like to give your palate a taste of something different, then you might want to head out to a Taste of Ethiopia. Cultural dances, arts and crafts and even Ethiopian coffee will be part of this year’s event

5. Denver World’s Fair of Money

What: The largest coin show in the country is coming to Denver this weekend! See more than $1 billion worth of historic rare coins and colorful currency, plus find out what your old coins may be worth today.

6. Hammond’s Candy Factory Tour

What: Did you know that you can take a free tour of Colorado’s very own Hammond’s Candy Factory?  Tours run every half-hour Monday through Saturday.  Watch candy makers as they hand-pull and twist oversize candy canes, ribbon candy, lollipops and chocolate.  It’s educational fun for candy lovers of all ages.  And bonus, every tour guest gets a free candy sample.

What: A fleet of hot air balloons will take over the skies in Cortez this weekend as Mesa Verde County celebrates the Cortez Rendezvous Hot Air Baloon Rally.
