FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Police say they are looking for help in identifying two men accused of breaking into a home Wednesday, tying the homeowner up in his basement, and then stealing his truck and other items.
Fort Collins police said the robbery happened Wednesday evening at a home in the 900 block of W. Mountain Avenue. The homeowner said the two men got inside his house sometime between 7 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., grabbed him and demanded money before they took him to his basement, where they tied him up and left him, police said.
The two men stole “a number of items from the home” and then left in the homeowner’s Ford Ranger truck. The homeowner was not harmed, and the truck was recovered Thursday near Nt. Taft Hill Road and Laporte Avenue, police said.
The homeowner described the two suspects as a white man wearing jeans who was between 6-foot-2 and 6-foot-4 inches tall and muscular, and a stocky Hispanic man who was wearing dark clothes, was about 5-foot-4 inches tall and had a stocky build, police said.
