MORRISON, Colo. — The first Film on the Rocks at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, which was scheduled for Friday evening, has been canceled due to weather.

The Denver Film Society (DFS) posted on its website that after talking with the city of Denver about the predicted weather and temperatures for Friday, they decided it was best to cancel the showing of “Titanic” at the venue. Lows in Morrison will sink to the mid-30s Friday evening.

“Although it’s disappointing to have to cancel one of our Red Rocks events, the decision was made with a complete focus on the comfort and ability of our guests to have the most enjoyable experience,” the DFS wrote online.

Those who purchased a ticket will get full refunds.

The next film is “Bohemian Rhapsody,” which is scheduled for May 28.

The following films will also be shown later this spring and summer:
· “Ghostbusters” on June 3
· “Mean Girls” on June 17
· “Top Gun” on July 1
· “The Mighty Ducks” on Aug. 5
· “Free Solo” on Aug. 19
