DENVER -- Good morning! Here’s what you need to know today, Tuesday, March 20, 2018.

1. Escaped inmate still on the run
Escaped inmate Mauricio Venzor-Gonzalez, 23, is still on the loose. He escaped from Denver Sheriff's Department deputies at about 6:30 a.m. Monday while seeking treatment at Denver Health. A Monday evening shooting and pursuit is connected to the escapee, but he remains at large and is considered armed and dangerous.

2. Another package explosion in Texas
There's been another package explosion in Texas, this time at a FedEx facility near San Antonio. The package was headed for Austin, where several other bombings have taken place in recent weeks. Investigators say the explosions may be connected.

3. City Council considers possible investigation into Mayor Hancock
City Council President Albus Brooks announced Monday that he and other council members are seeking legal guidance for a potential investigation into Denver Mayor Michael Hancock. Brooks said the chamber’s legal counsel had been directed to develop a proposal for a potential investigation into allegations of sexual harassment against the mayor.

4. Pres. Trump unveils opioids plan
The president calls for stiffer penalties for drug traffickers, including embracing a tactic employed by some of the global strongmen he admires: the death penalty.
