LAKEWOOD, Colo. – A 23-year-old man from Golden was killed in a crash in Lakewood early Sunday morning, police said.
Nicholas Kassera was driving an Ford F-350 pickup truck north on Wadsworth Boulevard when he ran a red light at West Florida Avenue and struck a sedan, police said. Kassera died at the scene. Four other people in the truck were injured and taken to a hospital.
The crash happened shortly before 1 a.m.
The driver of the sedan was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.
Police said alcohol and speed were suspected causes of the crash.
