Douglas County has a fun way to get families out exploring the local parks.
Decode Douglas County Outdoors is a treasure hunt of sorts. You download a booklet, read the clues and find a post in various parks.
The booklet has space to make rubbings of the posts. Collect enough rubbings and you'll be eligible for a prize.
"We have such a wide variety of parks in Douglas County, we want citizens to enjoy, discover and explore," said Douglas County Commissioner Lora Thomas.
