DENVER – Beginning next summer, travelers will be able to take direct flights between Denver and Zurich, Switzerland.

Edelweiss will offer twice-weekly, seasonal flights between the two cities from June through October.

The flights will give Colorado residents a new direct route to Europe and also will bring thousands of Swiss travelers – and their wallets – to the Centennial State.

“Swiss vacationers tend to spend more time and money than visitors from other countries,” Bauer said. “Our flights will bring approximately 7,500 visitors to Denver in 2018, generating an annual economic impact to the State of Colorado of more than USD 21 million.”

An average of about 50 people per day currently travel between Denver and Zurich, with a total of about 30,000 people traveling between the two cities every year.
