DENVER— A 52-year-old woman has been formally charged with murder after a man was found dead with gunshot wound in her home Sunday evening.

On Sunday around 8:10 p.m., officers with the Denver Police Department responded to the 4900 block of N. Clay Street after 52-year-old Charlene King called police about a dead man in their home. She said she had found a gun on the floor, according to a probable cause statement. Their relationship is unclear.

When police arrived, they found the body of 67-year-old Terance Longo. He had a gunshot wound under his eye, according to the statement, and it did not appear to be from a close-contact shooting.

King was detained and brought to police headquarters for an interview, but she declined to talk.

On Thursday, the Denver District Attorney's Office announced that she had been formally charged with first-degree murder.
