DENVER – A Denver teen charged with multiple counts of attempted murder in connection with a bloody attack on three people, including a sleeping man, was sentenced Friday.
A judge handed down a 24-year prison sentence to Emmanuel Leon, 19, for the March 20 parking lot attack.
Police say the three victims were assaulted and left to die at a parking lot near 1423 S. Federal Boulevard.
The police report indicates that at least one of the victims was asleep when he was awakened by kicks to his head. He managed to flag down a Denver Police officer, who found a second unconscious victim along with several pools of blood.
A motive for the attack was not disclosed.
